Clandestine Castle Curfew

Bedding the queen is a dangerous gambit - do you have what it takes to slink away with all your bits still on you? Move too quick and you'll be heard!

It's a semi-turn-based rhythm-esque tile-based corn-fed hog-tied sort of game. You can move freely once per turn of the hourglass (wait for the "pop"!) but if you move more than once... jingle go the bells, and you may be made!


The Story

A long time ago, in a kingdom far away, there was a JESTER. The JESTER was loved by the people of the kingdom, and he loved them. Sometimes a bit too much. 

On such a night when the JESTER was a bit too bold, he found himself in bed with the most beautiful QUEEN he had ever laid eyes on. They had a night full of laughter and passion, but when dawn approached, the QUEEN bade the JESTER farewell. The JESTER obliged, but knew his morning jaunt would not be so easy as seducing the QUEEN– not since the CURSE. 

The CURSE from a magically-gifted partner of a previous lover– it prevented the JESTER from removing his hat until the sun set after a night in another’s bed. And the JESTER’s hat, all bold-colors and bells, was very useful in the JESTER’s day job– but its merry JINGLING was less conducive to his nightly escapades. Now, the JESTER had to find his way out of the castle before the GUARDS could catch him. Or worse, the KING…

Tips for how to play!

• Your hitbox is smaller than your sprite. If most of the Jester is behind cover, you should be juuuuust fine.
• Pressing the keys is a good idea. It makes you move and stuff!
• The radius in which enemies can hear you varies - don't rely on it being small, but don't panic if you accidentally jingle.
• Pressing R will reset the stage if you're in too much of a bind.

If you can make it through the whole castle in one go, you've lived to make another life-threatening mistake another day! Good Jeorb!
